-Peace Rally held in Kathmandu

A Peace Rally held in Basantapur, Kathmandu demanding political solution through dialogue among the political parties regarding the indefinite general strike called by Maoist which begun to stop the life of people in the country, today. Thousands of people from different organizations; civil society, press, Nepal bar Association, and individuals were participated which was organized by The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) in Kathmandu. Even, Maoist leaders pressurize not to organize the Peace Rally, thinking it is against their strike, to civil society and stopped participants on the way to Basantapur in Kupondol and Rantapark by Maoists activists.
Addressing the mass in Basantapur, president of FNCCI, Kush Kumar Joshi claim that, end of the chaotic situation of Nepal and restoration of peace and completion of constitution is the aim of this Rally, was also addressed by president of Nepal Bar Association and famous comedians 'Maha Jodi'. Later, the rally was marched through New Road, Bir Hospital, Jamal, Ratnapark but clashed with Young Communist League, YCL while they create obstacle in exhibition road.
Sixth day of strike called by Maoist, scattered the life of people, especially those who works daily for their livelihood, even if they claim about civilian supremacy and right and welfare of proletariat. There are also anti-strike agitations by local people in many places throughout the country, is their agony of strike without any outlets. Minister of Information and Technology, Shankar Pokhral said the strike of Maoist is against the will of people and it can not give solution in present political deadlock.
Meanwhile, America appeal to withdraw the indefinite general strike through press release in the name of Robert O. Blake, Nominee for Assistant Secretary of State for South Asian Affairs Department of State, expressing their concern about the life of general public.
